hippoHappy Hippos

Children 3-5 years

Our Happy Hippo classroom follows a structured schedule full of skill-building activities, arts and crafts, Bible stories and lessons, games, and much more! Their day involves planned teacher-directed activities but also includes time for children to explore their environment and learn and grow through play. During the early preschool years, children have more in-depth exposure regarding behavior, feelings, and social skills as well as academic skills such as letters, numbers, and improving fine motor skills. They begin a new adventure of the environment through active exploration and interaction. Activities are based on the children's interest through a variety of learning areas.

Developmental Milestones

As your child grows into early childhood, his world will begin to open up. She will become more independent and begin to focus more on adults and children outside of the family. He will want to explore and ask about his surroundings even more.

Her interactions with family and those around her will help to shape her personality and individual ways of thinking and moving. During this stage your child will be able to ride a tricycle, use safety scissors, show awareness of gender identity, help to dress and undress himself, play with other children, recall part of a story, and sing a song.
