Staff:

All of the staff members have required fingerprinting, first aid/CPR training, child development training, and have been screened on the sex offender registry and for incidents of child abuse/neglect. Staff members continue an ongoing training process to meet state and center guidelines. Volunteers used to fill staff member positions will meet the same requirements for that position as any other staff member.

Amanda Knutson - (Director/4-5 Preschool Teacher) I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself! My name is Amanda Knutson, and I am very excited to be a part of Trinity Learning Center! I bring with me over 12 years of Early Childhood experience working at child care centers, elementary schools, and after school programs. During this time, I mostly taught Preschool and recently have 3 years of experience as a Director.

I graduated from Minnesota West Community and Technical College with my Child Development Assistant Diploma in 2001. I then went on to get my National Child Development Associate Certificate in 2004 and also completed the South Dakota Child Care Apprenticeship Program in 2005. Over the years, I have continued to grow professionally with taking more college courses and attending Early Childhood Conferences and seminars.

I am originally from Madison, Minnesota, where I grew up on a farm with my parents, two brothers, and one sister. My parents felt it was very important to teach their children a strong work ethic and healthy morals and values. With their guidance, I have become a very hardworking, compassionate, and caring person. I currently reside in Mitchell, SD, with my husband of seven years, Dustin. I enjoy scrap booking, baking, spending time with my family and friends, and reading. My favorite color is yellow, and I love sweets!
